------------------------------------------------- Hi Dave & Arno, Hi Arno & Dave Thanks for the 2009 dates. Wishing you guys and your family a lovely Xmas and New Year. We would like to also thank you for the great Track Schools, the R Series and the option to join you in a Boma at Kyalami. Really was great. Cheers till 2009 Otto & Lettie ------------------------------------------------- Hello, Dave and Arno Just a word of thanks to you, the organizers and Andy Ibbot for the wonderful Yamaha R series track day at Phakisa on 23 November 2008. I managed to get some pointers on braking technique and suspension settings from Andy and this cut three seconds off my lap times!! It was a wonderful day, with great riding and fun. Thanks for your efforts in making this happen, I really enjoyed it. Kind Regards Dr. Ryk Croukamp -------------------------------------------------- Hey Arno, Thanks again for Sunday (31Aug '08)- always fun to ride with an organised crowd!! Thanks again, Alan -------------------------------------------------- Hey there guys… Don’t know how to say thanks again for yesterday…. I finally broke through the FEAR barrier at the track day yesterday and what a liberating feeling to be on the bike and not be held back by a fear of falling, but rather being driven by an enjoyment of passion for motorsport. Not only did I improve and work on my riding style and body positioning…but at the end of the day my lap times improved and the fear was gone…. And that was worth the entire day to me…. So thanks again for all the effort you put in to organize a day like you did… It is greatly appreciated. Will see u at Phakisa and Kyalami again next month… Have a great week. Ciao for now. Bryce p.s…. got my knee down properly for the first time yesterday….. WOOHOO… --------------------------------------------------- Hey there guys… Just wanted to send a quick HUGE THANK YOU to you guys for the track day at Phakisa this weekend 29/06/2008. It was absolutely awesome… Not only is the track a legendary moto gp track, but I learnt so much from just chatting to the instructors and then having Arno Follow me around the track to see where I can improve and putting into practice all the different techniques that’s involved with riding your bike safely while having some fun…and man o man did I have FUN! so thanks again to you guys for all your efforts…it is greatly appreciated… I absolutely loved the day…cant wait for another one Have a great week. Ciao for now. Bryce Morgan ----------------------------------------------------- I thought I would just give you feed back on my riding since the California bike school. I thoroughly enjoyed the school and felt really good afterwards but I was unable to put into practice what I had learnt until this past weekend when I attended a track day at kyalami. Just for the record my track times at kyalami had averaged at about a 2.04 but I had done a couple of 2.02. I was trying not to psyche myself out before the track day but I was definitely hoping for an improvement in my times. I started the day in group B as I wanted to practice what I had learnt. From the word go I felt more confident. I was using the whole track, feeling relaxed and just generally feeling good. The second session came and I went out in A. I have never enjoyed myself so much. I felt like I could over take with confidence, using different lines and I even went onto the kerb without worrying. A lot of good riders might not understand but I just felt like I was in total control where before I had felt a bit like I was just hanging on. Anyway I thought I had done some really good times but I had forgotten to switch on my lap timer. The third session came and I could not wait to get out. The rain clouds had come and I knew this was most probably going to be my last session of the day. We went out and again I just felt totally confident and within myself. I was doing lap times between 2.00 and 2.01 and felt really pleased. A very light drizzle started so I thought to myself that I should just complete the lap I was on and go in. When I came into the pit I looked at my lap timer and I saw I had done a 1.59. All I can put my new found confidence down to is the California bike school. I improved by a solid 2 seconds and I think it would have even been more because the average time of the quicker riders was a good 2 seconds slower than usual due to the cooler/rainy conditions. I would just like to thank you for bringing the school here and I can totally endorse their product and I will definitely be there in November for level 3 and 4. Cheers Peter van Nieuwkerk ----------------------------------------------------
Andy, your classroom sessions are informative yet you manage to impart the knowledge with some humour to keep us all interested. Jet, your help on track was great, the encouragement & persistence and most of all patience & understanding were really appreciated. Badger, your perseverance & assistance in the "swerving" exercise opened a whole new realm for me - such a simple tip like "move your arse back" made the world of difference on track. I'm definately in for the next time you come out to South Africa! Once again, thanks guys! Rainer ---------------------------------------------------------
Thank you very much for 2 absolutely fantastic days. Thanks also for finding me 6 seconds a lap. Everyone I spoke to had a splendid time. Special thanks to you for all the jokes, and to Johnny and Gary for the excellent tuition. You guys are really sharp. I hope to see you again soon. The riding instructors were very dedidcated and showed me exactly where I was going wrong. I definately will enrol for Level 3 & 4. My friend Logan Govender attended with me, and realised after the first day that the level of training was value for money. Although we have been biking together for about 20 Years, the coaching helped us to get rid of some bad Habits. Grateful to Andy and his Merry Men. Desmond Samuel ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Arno, Just a quick note to say thanks to you & Dave for all the organizing & arranging the California Superbike School over the last 2 days.It was a fantastic day & I'll certainly be booking in for Level 2 in November! Kind Regards, Rainer Schulz ------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks for the training. Andy and his guys were really good. Please can you tell me when the next sessions will be. Do we get a certificate ? Reason I am asking is that if we want to do level 2 how will u guys know that we have done level 1 already. Regards, Mohamed ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dave, Arno
